The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has ignited a social media frenzy with its declaration to clinch victory in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations as a tribute to President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking through its president, Ibrahim Gusau, the NFF credited the Super Eagles’ qualification for the semi-finals to Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Before the pivotal quarter-final match against Angola, it was noted that Tinubu engaged in a video conference call with the players, offering words of encouragement and assurance. Gusau reiterated Tinubu’s message, highlighting the players’ response and commitment to their task.

Gusau expressed confidence in Tinubu’s promise of substantial rewards for the team in the event of triumph, emphasizing its unprecedented nature in Nigerian sports history.

With just two matches remaining in the tournament, Gusau reiterated the NFF’s determination to pursue their objective, urging all Nigerians to support them through prayers. He stressed the pivotal role of prayer in their journey towards success.

The NFF’s commitment to secure victory not only reflects their ambition as a team but also underscores the significance of President Tinubu’s support. This declaration has sparked a flurry of reactions on social media platforms, with Nigerians expressing their sentiments and expectations regarding the team’s endeavor.
