The statement, posted on September 19, said the victims were hungry children who were allegedly mining illegally for gold in one of Nigeria’s mines.
“They are all dead,” the statement said, warning that the integrity of the United States and its president must never be allowed to be questioned.
The statement identified the people shown in the video as survivors of the alleged Nigerian paramilitary operation. It said the operation resulted in the deaths of 37 children who were allegedly involved in illegal gold mining.
The statement also raised allegations involving Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It claimed that Nigerians were saying Tinubu had offered the United States one of the country’s gold mines while he is currently fighting in US courts to prevent the release of alleged heroin trafficking records held by the FBI.
