For its giant strides in the advancement of democracy across the globe and promotion of Nigeria’s legislative activities, the Director-General of National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Olarenwaju Sulaiman, has been recognised by the Austria National Assembly.
Austrian National Assembly President, Nobert Hofer, presided over the parliament plenary held on Friday, 12th May, 2023, to recognise Sulaiman who was on an official visit to the National Assembly during which the visitor also had session with the Austrian National lawmakers.
Professor Sulaiman who was in Austria for a routine exchange and working visit to understudy the intricacies of the Austria’s democracy was received by members of the parliament.
According to National Assembly President, “This recognition was given in appreciation of Sulaiman’s tireless efforts towards the advancement of Nigerian legislature.”
The NILDS DG has been a strong advocate for a good democratic ethos and practice, as well as robust legislation both within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
