The peaceful community of Nimbo, located in the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, has once again been targeted by alleged Fulani herdsmen.

The tragic incident unfolded late on Sunday evening, resulting in the loss of several lives and leaving numerous others severely wounded.

Reports indicate that the herdsmen launched an assault on the grieving community of Ugwuijoro Nimbo, leaving a trail of devastation and sorrow.

Among the deceased were individuals identified as Okeh Simon Ugwu Oruku, Okeh Chukwuebuka, Julius Ogbonna Odiegwu, and Gabriel Ugwor Ezea.

A chilling video on Monday morning, depicted a ghost town.

The voiceover in the video lamented that the assailants caught the villagers off guard, firing indiscriminately at the mourners.

The aftermath of the attack was evident in the scattered furniture in the compound where the mourners had assembled, and the lifeless bodies of villagers lying in their own blood.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Nimbo has been attacked. A similar incident occurred in 2016, resulting in numerous fatalities.

The incident sparked a wave of national indignation at the time.
