The Senate had on Friday passed the 2024 Appropriation Bill presented before the joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives by President Bola Tinubu for a second reading.
It was gathered that the Senators only spent two days debating the 43-paragraph speech presented by the President and the four-page lead debate by the Senate Leader, Senator Bamidele Opeyemi.

He expressed concern that the essential process and rituals for scrutinizing the budget were being overlooked.
