In a recent statement shared on his X handle, the online news publisher of NN News Media, Nkiruka Nistoran addressed former Rivers State governor, Nysom Wike, urging him to allow his successor, Governor Sim Fubara, to govern without interference.

“As the former governor of Rivers State, you were given the opportunity to complete your tenure without external pressure,” Nistoran wrote. “Now, it is crucial that you step back and allow Governor Sim Fubara to focus on his responsibilities. Failing to do so may make you an adversary not only to Rivers State but to the entire old Eastern region.”

With the Rivers State local government elections set to take place tomorrow, Nistoran called on the Inspector General of Police to ensure that law and order are maintained during the process, stressing that any breach of peace will be met with accountability.
