Nkiruka Nistoran, publisher of NN News Media and former South-East coordinator of the Obidient Movement in Enugu State, has publicly expressed her disappointment over a recent experience on an X Space hosted by the movement.

In a post shared via her official X handle, Nistoran recounted being invited to join the Space and initially welcomed as a speaker. However, despite multiple attempts to contribute, she was repeatedly left unheard.

“I appreciated the gesture and honored the invitation. I sent a request and was made a speaker. While everyone was actively contributing, I was kept on hold,” she wrote. “I had to step away for another important meeting.”

Upon returning, Nistoran said she sent several speaker requests, none of which were accepted. Even when one of the hosts mentioned her name, she was unable to respond as she hadn’t been re-added as a speaker.

“Toward the end, a lady announced they would take just one more question before closing the session. At that point, I left,” she added. “Out of respect, I joined when invited, but after that experience, I won’t be attending their Space again, even if invited. I was humiliated for trusting.”

NN News Media also reminded readers that Nistoran had previously resigned from her role within the Obidient Movement. In a letter dated July 20, 2025, addressed to the Obidient Movement Consultation, she cited leadership failure as the reason for her departure.

“The values and direction we once stood for have been compromised. I can no longer continue in my role under the current circumstances,” the letter stated.

Nistoran’s statement has sparked renewed conversation around internal dynamics and transparency within the movement.
