The publisher of NN News Media, Princess Lucy Ugwu known as Nkiruka Nistoran, has said she will soon become a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

She shared this on her X (formerly Twitter) page, saying she is now encouraged by the party’s plans for Nigeria.

“I’ll be registering for membership soon, as I’m now truly inspired by the vision of the ADC. It’s clear that this is a party committed to representing all Nigerians,” she wrote.

She also thanked the national chairman of ADC, former Senate President David Mark, for his leadership and direction.

This news came just days after Mrs. Nistoran officially resigned from her position as the South-East Coordinator of the Obidient Movement in Enugu State. In a letter dated July 20, 2025, and sent by email to the Obidient Movement Consultation, she said poor leadership was the main reason she decided to leave.

“The values and direction we once stood for have been compromised. I can no longer continue in my role under the current circumstances,” she explained.

Her decision to leave the movement and join another party is seen as an important step that could affect both her followers and politics in the South-East.
