The National Coordinator of Obi-Datti Frontiers, Kelvin Odatse Peters, has said that the result of the national poll which was conducted and released by ANAP on Thursday that ranked the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, ahead of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) was a true reflection of the thinking of the Nigerian masses.

In the percentage rating of the poll which was conducted across the six geo-political zones in the country, the LP candidate got 21 per cent while the APC and PDP candidates garnered only 13 per cent each and Rabiu Kwankwaso came a distant fourth with 3 percent.

According to him, with the state of affairs in the country, no well-meaning or right thinking person would support the other candidates, knowing full well that they were responsible for mess that Nigerians are in today as a country and as a people.

He said that just recently, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released an inflation rate of more than 20 per cent, the highest since 2005.

Furthermore, he said that most Nigerians no longer know where or when their next meal would come.

On the other parties who are criticizing the result of the poll, Peters said that they were merely shedding crocodile tears, adding that they know the truth.

He said that those criticizing the result of the poll were implying that Nigerians were specially created to suffer and as such, are willing to continue with the suffering in the country.

His words, “I want to tell you that the result of the poll is the true reflection of the Nigerian masses. For the past six months, Nigerian university students have been at home and their future are been mortgaged. Life and property are no longer safe in the country. Inflation of 20 and more per cent is the highest since 2005, so, tell me why would anybody in his senses want to support a government that has inflicted so much pain and brought so much hardship on him or her. The other parties who are complaining are just trying to defend the indefensible.”

In his contribution, the BOT Chairman, Obi-Datti Frontiers, Onyema Anene said that Nigerians have woken up from their deep slumber to take back their country.

According to him, the result of the poll simply showed that the evangelism of Obi-Datti Frontiers and the other Peter Obi support groups were yielding fruits.

He said that the other Presidential Candidates are whining showed that they were now coming to terms with the reality.

Onyema Anene said that before, the position of the other presidential candidates and their parties were to ignore Peter Obi because his supporters were only on the social media.

He said that now Obi has become the issue and the conversion of the 2023 presidential election.

According to him, Nigerian masses should be steadfast until victory would be achieved through the ballot box.
