In a move reminiscent of Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s actions in Rivers State, Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has announced a Christmas bonus of one hundred thousand naira for all state workers.
The declaration, made during the ‘Renewed Hope Initiative Christmas Party,’ highlights the governor’s commitment to the well-being of the state’s employees.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Nwifuru stated, “Every worker in Ebonyi state government—not local government—must get 100,000 naira from us.”
This mirrors Governor Fubara’s decision in Rivers State, where a similar bonus was approved for civil servants across ministries, departments, and agencies.
This significant holiday gesture marks a noteworthy moment for both states, with Rivers State civil servants enjoying such substantial Christmas bonuses for the first time in a considerable duration.
Governor Fubara’s commitment to improving the well-being of civil servants and addressing income disparities is once again emphasized through this generous move.
