The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has hailed the potential of Nigerian youths while wishing Nigerian leaders could make painful sacrifices to help them achieve greatness.
Peter Obi took to his verified Twitter handle to share this while congratulating two Nigerian students for their academic exploits in Russian universities and the change-makers of 2023 Diana Awards recipients.
“I congratulate the duo of Okoro Benjamin Nzutechukwu and Solomon Ekene Okeke, both Nigerians who recently made the nation proud with their academic exploits in Russian Universities.
“According to reports, Mr Nzutechukwu graduated with a First Class Honours in Pharmacy from Voronezh University, Russia while Mr Okeke emerged as the Best Graduating Student 2023, from RUDN University, Moscow, Russia.
“While I celebrate their academic feats, I also celebrate the same potential for greatness existing in every Nigerian youth, waiting for the right investments in human development. This can be achieved if our leaders will be willing to go through discomfort and make much-needed painful sacrifices for the good of the nation,” Mr Obi said.
Obi also congratulated Miss Onyinye Omenugha. They are Favour Abatang, Oladotun Ajayi, Olalekan Ajayi, Regina Ateb, Abdulhammed Babatunde, Yusuf Babatunde, Blossom Egbude, Chiamaka Juliet Osueke, Joel Mordi, Covenant Odedele, Joy Offere, Melody Okereke, Iyiola Oladunjoye, Oluwatomi Olunuga, of change-makers who were equally 2023 Diana Awards recipients.
Mr Obi urged the two Nigerian students to remain good ambassadors of the country while wishing them well.
“I wish Benjamin and Solomon the best in their endeavours and urge them to remain good ambassadors of our nation and to keep our flag flying higher,” Mr Obi added.
