The foremost Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Ahmed support group, Obi-Datti Frontiers has berated the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma, over his comment on Igbo presidency.

Recall that Uzodinma had in an interview with Arise Television, said that Igbos should forget about 2023 election unless they make peace with

Nigeria.

Speaking while reacting to the statement, the B.O.T Chairman of Obi-Datti Frontiers, Onyema Anene, said that he was highly disappointed with Uzodinma over the utterance.

According to him, it is absurd for Uzodinma to try to present the Igbos as enemy of Nigeria.

He said that if there was any ethnic group that has been pan-Nigeria, it was the Igbo who are found in large numbers in all the nooks and crannies of the Country.

Speaking further, he advised Nigerians to ignore Hope Uzodinma and vote massively for Peter Obi, who he described as the most competent of all the candidates.

His words: “We in Obi-Datti Frontiers as a disciplined and responsible organization don’t have the habit of joining words with people who make reckless and unguarded statements. However, I want to make one point clear.

Igbos are not in enmity with Nigeria. In fact, if there is any ethnic group that is pan-Nigeria, I want to say without any fear of contradiction that it is the Igbo.

Go to any state in the country, Igbo make up at least 20 per cent of the population and anywhere they are, they bring development.

Peter Obi is running on a tripod of competence, equity and justice and he is the only candidate with the capacity to lift Nigeria out of the woods and take us to where we should be in the comity of nations.”
