The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party during the February 25 election, Peter Obi, has thrown his weight behind the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Rivers State, Comrade Beatrice Itubo, who is the chairman Nigerian Labour Congress in the state.

Obi in a statement yesterday urged all the Obidients to come out en masse and vote massively for her, adding that as a veteran Labour Union Activist, she would cater for the welfare of workers and the Rivers people at large.

He reminded Rivers ‘Obidients’ that they must continually vote out the present structure of alleged corruption and criminality in Rivers State in order to usher in a new Rivers State through Comrade Itubo.

Obi, however, assured all ‘Obidients’ of security and safety, admonishing them to stick together, defend themselves, and vote in case of any eventuality.
