Reno Omokri, a former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, is under scrutiny for allegedly inciting hate against the Igbo people in Nigeria.

As ethnic tensions intensify in Nigeria, Omokri has been accused of hiding in the UK while inciting conflict against the Igbo people.

The controversy erupted after a social media campaign gained traction, urging the UK government to take action against Omokri for his alleged ethnic incitement.

On social media, users are rallying to report Omokri to UK authorities. One user on X, @Voiceofigbos, posted: “Ndi Igbo, let us join hands to report @renoomokri to @UKVIgovuk, @UKPolice_Online, and @GOVUK for inciting ethnic hate and violence against the Igbo people in Nigeria. Click the link below to report, and attach his handle and posts from both X and Facebook.”

In a subsequent tweet, the same user further urged action: “@UKgovcomms, this bigoted man Reno Omokri is hiding in your country. Igbo UK, your gatherings will not be enough if you don’t find this Yoruba man who is instigating tribal war against Ndigbo in Nigeria. Enough is enough.”

The campaign reflects growing concerns among the Igbo community and their supporters, who are calling for a formal response from UK authorities to address these allegations and prevent further incitement.
