Award-winning singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that voters at the ongoing governorship election in Osun State rejected inducement.

With the action, he said, there was hope for Nigeria.

The singer in a tweet on his Twitter handle on Saturday claimed that the people were rejecting money from every angle.

He tweeted, “People rejecting money being offered to them left and right of the state today. Great to see there is still hope for Nigeria.”

Adeleke, who is a member of the People’s Democratic Party, is slugging it out with three other major contestants—the incumbent, Adegboyega Oyetola (All Progressives Congress); Akin Ogunbiyi (Accord Party) and Lasun Yusuff (Labour Party)— for the coveted office.

For the past few days, Davido has been in Osun, bonding with the electorate and urging them to vote for his uncle.

Recall that in 2018, Adeleke had also flown the flag of the People’s Democratic Party flag, but narrowly lost to Oyetola after two rounds of elections.
