Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has arrived safely in London, United Kingdom, on Sunday, March 2, for a series of engagements aimed at fostering national development.

Obi traveled via Air Peace business class, in line with his usual practice for long-haul flights, especially when immediate work commitments await upon arrival.

Upon landing, he proceeded to Cambridge, where he met with development experts to discuss viable solutions to Nigeria’s pressing challenges. Their conversation focused on strategies to address key issues affecting the nation.

Later in the day, Obi returned to London to attend the launch of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s latest novel, Dream Count, at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. The event, which drew a crowd of about 3,000 attendees, featured an engaging conversation between Adichie and journalist Elizabeth Day, providing deep insights into literature and societal progress.

Reflecting on the day’s discussions and Adichie’s inspiring event, Obi emphasized the importance of investing in education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation—critical components of human development. He expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, highlighting the role of youth energy, collective commitment, and good governance in achieving national transformation.

“I remain confident that all hope is not lost. A new Nigeria is POssible,” Obi affirmed.
