Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, extended his heartfelt celebrations on Sunday, January 14, 2024, as he joined in honoring Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma of the Anglican Communion and Rev Mother Mary Claude Oguh for their remarkable years of service in the vineyard of the Lord.

Taking to his social media handle, Peter Obi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to join these two esteemed servants of God in acknowledging their extraordinary contributions. In the town of Ufuma, Anambra State, Obi participated in Rev Mother Mary Claude Oguh’s Thanksgiving Mass, commemorating her 12 years of dedicated service as the Superior General of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregation.

Furthermore, in Enugu, Peter Obi joined the Retirement Thanksgiving Service of the Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, the Archbishop of the Enugu Ecclesiastical Province of the Anglican Communion, who marked the conclusion of his 34 years of Episcopacy.

Both Rev Mother Mary Claude Oguh and Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma have exemplified meritorious service in the house of God, standing out in their commitment to preaching the gospel. In alignment with his cultural values of celebrating those who positively impact society, Peter Obi acknowledged their immense contributions, particularly in the realms of education and health.
