Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s Presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, along with other distinguished African leaders, is slated to address the 15th Harvard Africa Development Conference in April.

Harvard University will host this event, which is designed to assemble African leaders for a dialogue on the continent’s growth. It serves as a hub for attendees to exchange knowledge and build networks.

The conference, planned for April 12-13, 2024, invites individuals from Boston and beyond to participate in this enlightening conversation. Spearheaded by students of African descent from Harvard Law School and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, the Africa Development Conference (ADC) at Harvard is recognized as a leading international forum for substantial discussions on Africa’s growth.

The ADC, which is expected to attract around 500 participants, including over 50 industry leaders as speakers and panelists, enables pivotal dialogues that influence the future of the continent.

Prominent figures and heads of state are anticipated to convene to disseminate progressive policies, nurturing collaborations for Africa’s global development.

The theme for this year, “Africa Delivers: Pragmatic Paths to Prosperity,” underscores the continent’s advancements and potential in the face of worldwide challenges. It covers a broad range of critical sectors, including law, governance, international relations, economics, business, technology, environment, security, health, arts, and more.
