Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party in 2023, along with Abia state Governor Alex Otti, yesterday in Abuja met with a remarkable young gymnast who has been bringing pride to Nigeria on the international stage.

This gymnast, who achieved a Gold Medal at the African Junior Gymnastics Championship in South Africa at the tender age of 11 back in August 2022, continues to amaze with her consistent success.

Obi reminisced about their initial encounter and expressed his joy at seeing her progress. He encouraged her to persist in honing her skills, and he’s delighted to see her rise higher on the ladder of success, garnering more medals and accolades.

During the meeting, both Obi and Governor Otti extended their congratulations and offered support for her future endeavors. They emphasized the importance of nurturing and empowering young talents like her, enabling them to shine on the global stage. Their commitment reflects a broader vision for a progressive Nigeria where the potential of its youth is fully realized.

The encounter underscores a shared belief that a new Nigeria, characterized by excellence and opportunity, is not just a dream but an achievable reality.
