The public presentation of ‘The Voice of a Prophet’, a Compendium of Vintage Speeches by former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ben Ndi Obi, scheduled for March 30, will feature prominent figures including Labour Party presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi and Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as Guests of Honour.

The book, compiled by Sen. Ben Ndi Obi’s former Senior Legislative Adviser, Dr. Sebastian Anekwe, a senior lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, will be chaired by Chief Clem Nwankwuv (Dike Udum Abagana).

Special Guests of Honour at the event will include Senators Ifeanyi Ubah, Tony Nwoye, and Victor Umeh, with Chief Clem Nwogbo serving as the Chief Presenter and Launcher.

Featuring a foreword by Prof. Ken Nwuba, a professor of Public and Private Law/International Terrorism and Armed Hostilities, the book is divided into nine insightful chapters delving deep into contemporary Nigerian politics. Topics covered include prevailing insecurities, the infamous third term agenda, political exclusion games, tributes to Nigerian leaders, and the challenges posed by herdsmen, among other engaging subjects.

Senator Ben Ndi Obi described the 321-page book as a compilation of speeches, interviews, and opinions on key national issues, highlighting activities during his tenure as the Special Adviser to Nigeria’s President. These activities led to the signing of the Abuja Peace Accord, which ultimately led to the establishment of the National Peace Committee under the chairmanship of former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, GCFR (rtd).
