The Imo State Police Command dislodged a hideout believed to be controlled by the Eastern Security Network (ESN), a subsidiary of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The raid was conducted following the confession of a suspected ESN member previously arrested for the death of DPO Ahiazu Mbaise.

The police neutralized the second in command to ESN commander, Ebube Virus, during the operation.

The statement by the police spokesperson Okoye detailed the successful operation and recovery of an AK 47 rifle with ammunition.
