It has been discovered that Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju, is reportedly the son of Justice Helen Morenkeji Ogunwumiju, the judge who will decide the Tinubu/Shettima case in the Supreme Court on Thursday, May 26, 2023.

Otunba Ogunwumiju, however, is the House of representative Member-elect of Ondo West Constituency in Ondo State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The discover was made ahead of the judgement in a suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, against the APC presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.

Besides being the winner House of Representative seat in the state, it was gathered that Otunba Ogunwumiju was backed by Rotimi Akeredolu, the Ondo State APC  Governor.

With the latest discovery, the question on the lips of observers is whether Nigerians will expect a fair ruling at the Supreme Court tomorrow.

An observer, Mr. Dokun Ojomo,  was, however, optimistic.

He tweeted to the judge: “As you pronounce your judgement tomorrow, may God grant you and your colleagues wisdom to adjudicate rightly.

“May you not rely on technicalities but on the substance of the case before you. All Nigerians are counting on you to give a sound and equitable judgement.”
