Federal lawmakers from Rivers State express unwavering support for Governor Siminialaye Fubara amid a heated feud with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

The lawmakers also call for the immediate evacuation of official quarters by the 25 Rivers House of Assembly members who defected to the APC, accusing them of betraying constituents.

In a rally led by Mr. Dagomie Abiante, Andoni/Opobo–Nkoro federal constituency representative, the defected lawmakers are urged to respect the law and stop being contemptuous of the court.

Abiante appeals to President Bola Tinubu to intervene, emphasizing the need for wisdom in resolving the political turmoil.

Mrs. Boma Good-Head, representing Asari-Toru Federal Constituency, echoes the sentiment, urging President Tinubu to rein in Nyesom Wike, warning against disruptions to peace in Rivers.

NN News Media report that Prof. Benjamin Okaba, President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), has joined the chorus of support for Governor Siminialaye Fubara in the ongoing political turmoil.

In addition to expressing his solidarity, Prof. Okaba has announced a nationwide solidarity march by Ijaw youths, aiming to appeal to President Bola Tinubu for intervention in preventing interference with Governor Fubara’s administration.
