In a scathing critique, Kenneth Okonkwo, a prominent figure in the Labour Party, condemns the recent Abuja meeting convened by President Bola Tinubu to address the political turmoil in Rivers State.

Okonkwo asserts that the gathering served as a mere façade, accusing it of instructing Governor Siminalayi Fubara to submit to the All-Progressives Congress (APC) and his godfather, Nyesom Wike.

H contends that the collaboration between the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) poses a significant danger to Nigeria’s democratic principles.

He questions the rationale behind PDP representatives seeking resolution from the APC leadership and calls out Tinubu for allegedly endorsing constitutional breaches in resolving the Rivers State political crisis.

Expressing his dismay on the X platform, Okonkwo emphasizes the alarming state of Nigerian politics, describing the situation as a “huge crime scene” where Fubara is purportedly directed to serve the interests of the APC and his political mentor.
