Senator Abdulaziz Yar’Adua, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, has expressed support for Army Chief Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, stating that the recent drone attack in Kaduna, resulting in numerous casualties, was an unintentional error.

Yar’Adua commended Lagbaja for acknowledging the mistake and urged for peace rather than demanding resignations.

The comments come in response to the Northern Elders Forum’s call for the resignation of top military officials after the incident in Tudun Biri village, which claimed over 85 lives.

Yar’Adua noted that such errors are not exclusive to the Nigerian Army and suggested informing the Kaduna State Government about large gatherings to enhance security.
