The people of the Southeast, comprising; Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi state has total rejected 5 days sit at home order by a Finland based self-acclaimed Nnamdi Kanu discipline, Simon Ekpa.

Anambra shunned 5 days sit at home

Anambra State residents on Friday went their normal businesses in defiance of the 5-day stay-at-home order and went to their normal businesses.

There was no compliance at all to the order as people were seen moving freely without let or hindrance across all parts of the State, including Nnewi, Onitsha, Awka, Ihiala, Ekwulobia.

Schools, markets, banks, street traders and other public institutions, in Nnewi, for instance, were all open for business, while human and vehicular movements were recorded across the State.

Asked why she did not obey the 5-day stay-at-home order beginning from December 9, a petty trader at Nkwo Nnewi Roundabout who did want her name mentioned in the news said she would only obey the order if those giving the order could feed her family three times a day for the five days petty.

Abia residents ignore Ikpa’s 5-day sit-at-home order

Throughout Abia state on Friday, there was no sign of observance of the sit-at-home as people moved about their normal businesses.

In Umuahia, the state capital commercial bus drivers and tricycle operators were on the road, just as people moved about their normal businesses.

Banks, markets and shop owners opened for business, even as pupils and students went to school as normal.

In Aba, the commercial hub of the state, the story was the same, people moved about their normal businesses as public institutions opened for normal activities.

Those who spoke to Saturday Sun said the 5-day sit-at-home was one too many, meant to inflict more hardship on them.

5 days sit at home suffer setback in Enugu

Enugu state shunned the sit-at-home as residents of the city went about their normal business despite the directive issued by Ekpa.

NN News gathered that the cities, towns, villages, banks, markets and shop owner’s opened for their normal business in the state.

Ebonyi defy sit at home order

Ebonyi residents also defy sit at home order as business activities went on smoothly in all parts of the state.

Also markets in the state, especially the Margaret International Market in Abakaliki, were open for business activities.

Imo reject sit at home

Noncompliance in Imo state Owerri, and its environs, as markets, filling stations, shops, fast-food centres and banks opened for their normal business

The IPOB group under Kanu’s leadership had earlier countered the 5-day stay-at-home order, through its spokesperson, Mr Emma Powerful in the media asking people of the South East to ignore the order.
