Anambra Governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo has identified creativity and talent as the future economy of the State.

Governor Soludo in company of his wife, Anambra First lady, Mrs Nonye Soludo, gave the disclosure while attending the 2023 Anambra Fashion Expo (AFE2023), themed; “Creativity Unleashed”,

The International Convention Centre, Awka, venue of the event buzzed with so much energy, activities and creativity as models, brands and fashion enthusiasts took part in the second year edition of the event convened by the AORAH Brand.

While celebrating the show as an opportunity to project some of the best Anambra has to offer, Governor Soludo expressed optimism that next year’s programme would be better.

He stressed the importance of patronizing made-in-Anambra and made-in-Nigeria products and noted that it is the best way to create jobs for young people in the state.

The Governor also announced that the Anambra State government in collaboration with the Anambra State Business Agency would be empowering the talents identified at the expo with funds to grow and prosper.

Earlier, the Convener of Anambra Fashion Expo, Ms Adaora Soludo of AORAH Foundation, expressed excitement at the large turnout of people who came to witnessed the show where fashion designers displayed their various elements of creativity.

She emphasized that the event is solely to nurture talent and foster growth of the fashion ecosystem in the state.

Through her Aorah Foundation, a grant of N1,000,000 was presented to Mr. Onwuegbusi Paul Chukwuemeka of “FP_Designed” for emerging winner of the 10/10 category competition.

Runner ups were handed Industrial Machines to support their small scale fashion businesses.

The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim and wife accompanied the Governor to the expo which was also attended by the Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary, Barrister JPC Anetoh, other members of Anambra State Executive Council, Members of Anambra State Legislature, Captains of Industry, Fashion Designers among others.
