Reverend Ezekiel Bwede Dachomo has warned supporters campaigning for President Bola Tinubu against using his name to promote the president, describing anyone involved in such actions as wicked and evil.
The cleric made his position clear while reacting to claims that he travelled to Israel to pray for Tinubu’s success.
“I warn those campaigning for President Tinubu not to use my name wrongly. Anyone doing so is wicked and evil,” Dachomo said.
He also challenged those claiming that he had prayed for the president’s success, questioning what success they were referring to.
“Even those claiming that I prayed for Tinubu’s success, which success?” he asked.
Dachomo’s remarks directly reject the claims linking him to prayers for Tinubu in Israel and warn political supporters against associating his name with their campaign activities without his approval.
His statement also raises questions about the claims being circulated in his name and what supporters mean when they speak of praying for the president’s success.
The cleric’s comments have drawn attention to the controversy surrounding the alleged prayer trip to Israel and his reported connection to efforts supporting Tinubu.
Dachomo maintained that those campaigning for the president should not misuse his name, making it clear that he objects to being linked to claims he has publicly challenged.
