Nigeria’s Super Eagles have issued a strong warning to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), threatening not to travel to Marrakech for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) match against Algeria unless all outstanding winning bonuses are paid.

A highly placed source within the team confirmed to Vanguard that players and officials are still owed bonuses from earlier matches in the tournament. According to the source, payments for victories against Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Mozambique remain unsettled.

Despite their commitment to the AFCON campaign, the players have drawn a firm line, stating they will neither train nor travel for the next fixture until the issue is resolved.

This is not the first time the Super Eagles have taken such a stance. In November, the team threatened to boycott their 2026 World Cup qualifier against Gabon over similar unpaid entitlements.

In a joint statement signed by players and team officials at the time, the squad revealed that they had suspended training in protest, insisting on an immediate resolution before continuing preparations for international duties.
