Abia State Governor Alex Otti has declared that his administration is owned by the people and not controlled by any political godfather.
Speaking to residents in a video circulating online, Otti stressed that there is no political godfather influencing the affairs of Abia State. He added that his government came into power through divine support and is committed to serving the public.
According to the governor, his administration is focused on delivering results for the people. He said they have no option but to work for the masses and noted that his team is only at the beginning of its efforts.
Otti also assured residents that more infrastructure projects would be delivered across the state as his administration progresses.
In a related development, the governor criticized some opposition members for refusing to acknowledge his administration’s achievements because of political differences.
Speaking at a reception held in Isuikwuato for the Abia State Attorney General, Ikechukwu Uwanna SAN, Otti said the Igbo people are known for honesty and should not deny visible progress.
He questioned the claims by some individuals who attribute newly constructed roads to past administrations, suggesting that such statements do not reflect the values of true Igbo identity.
Otti concluded by saying his administration will continue to focus on delivering results for the people, adding that performance remains the best response to opposition criticism.
