Akin Osuntokun, the esteemed Director General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign Council under the Labour Party (LP), has openly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s approach to governing Nigeria.

He warns that the President’s heavy reliance on propaganda as a governing strategy is a ticking time bomb.

In a statement released via his social media handle, Osuntokun expressed his concerns, stating, “Governing a nation is not a task that can be accomplished through propaganda. It demands the tackling of intricate issues, the execution of policies that serve the citizens’ interests, and the assurance of the nation’s overall welfare and advancement.”

Osuntokun’s comments come at a time when the Nigerian government is facing numerous challenges, including economic instability, security threats, and social unrest. Many Nigerians have expressed their disappointment with the government’s handling of these issues, and there is a growing demand for effective and meaningful solutions.

Osuntokun’s warning to Tinubu highlights the need for a shift in focus towards policy implementation and addressing the complex issues that the country faces. It remains to be seen whether the government will heed this advice and take concrete steps towards addressing the challenges that the nation faces.
