On the invitation of the Republic of Senegal, President Bola Tinubu is set to leave Abuja for Dakar, Senegal, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

According to Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, confirmed this in a statement on Monady.

The purpose of his visit is to attend the inauguration ceremony of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

As the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will be among other regional leaders at the inauguration, which is scheduled to take place at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre on Tuesday.

Accompanying the President on this trip will be the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, along with other high-ranking government officials.

Following the conclusion of the inauguration, President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria.
