Protest calls against President Bola Tinubu have reportedly reached Sokoto State, adding to reports of growing political discontent in northern Nigeria amid public concerns over rising living costs and economic hardship.
According to reports from Sokoto say a large angry crowd has taken the Tinubu must go campaign very personally. Video from the scene shows many people gathered and voicing strong rejection of the president.
A social media post has highlighted a reported Tinubu must go protest in Sokoto, where the message reflects opposition to the president and growing calls for change.
Sokoto protest come amid wider demonstrations and public complaints over insecurity, repeated bandit attacks and the rising cost of living.
In Tambuwal Local Government Area, youths reportedly staged protests in September, accusing authorities of failing to protect communities from attacks and abductions. Reports also said APC property was damaged during the unrest.
The protest message adds to mounting political pressure on Tinubu as opposition voices raise concerns about the government’s handling of the economy and security. With the 2027 presidential election approaching, public dissatisfaction over food prices, transportation costs and safety could become important issues in the contest for voters’ support.
