Online publisher Nkiruka Nistoran has raised alarm over the ongoing violence in Edo State, where reports of killings targeting Northern Nigerians have sparked widespread concern.

Nistoran claims that these attacks are part of a larger political game, accusing General Bola Tinubu of playing dangerous politics to secure his second term in office at the expense of innocent lives.

According to Nistoran, accused Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), and Omoyele Sowore of resorting on using fake social media accounts like X in a deliberate effort to spread misinformation. These accounts have reportedly been circulating propaganda that may features an image of Ekperima Kanu and Arewa image is intending to sow division between the Igbo and Hausa communities.

This dangerous move, according to Nistoran, is designed to manipulate vulnerable members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who might fall for the deceitful narrative and then help them to push the propaganda. The goal, she argues, is to incite ethnic conflict and create further instability, which could be exploited for political gain.

Nistoran further accused Omokri, FFK, and Sowore of acting as Tinubu’s proxies, using their influence to disseminate misinformation and deepen ethnic divides.

Nistoran’s message is clear: Tinubu and his allies are risking the safety and unity of Nigerians, particularly in the volatile region of Edo, just to advance their own political agenda. The ongoing violence and divisiveness are a direct result of these calculated moves, with the potential for lasting consequences that could affect national cohesion.

In her call to action, Nistoran urges Nigerians to be vigilant against such tactics, stressing the importance of unity in the face of politically motivated violence. She warns that allowing these divisive tactics to succeed could lead to even greater unrest, with both lives and the fabric of the nation at stake.

As the situation continues to unfold, the attention of the public and security forces is needed more than ever to ensure that the truth prevails and that the lives of innocent Nigerians are not sacrificed on the altar of political ambition.
