President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has assured Nigerians that the president is sensitive to their struggles despite social media claims suggesting otherwise

. Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Onanuga dismissed the “T-Pain” nickname circulating on social media, saying Tinubu has not come to inflict hardship but is instead focused on economic repair.

Onanuga emphasized that Tinubu understands the financial strain faced by citizens, stressing that the president is committed to bringing about relief and economic prosperity. While acknowledging inflation, he highlighted signs of economic growth, including increased national revenue.

“The President is not indifferent to Nigerians’ hardship and is working hard to deliver better days,” Onanuga said, adding that the president remains largely unaware of social media labels. “Some people are being mischievous by calling him ‘T-Pain,’ but that’s simply not reflective of his goals for Nigeria.”
