President Bola Tinubu has sacked the Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz.

The president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the sack was to take effect from August 24, 2023.

The statement also disclosed that the President approved the appointment of Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote to serve as the Acting Director-General/CEO.

He also approved the appointment of Yusuf Buba Yakub as the Director/CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps, DTAC.
