President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima have both taken their oaths of office at the eagle square in Abuja, amid loud cheers and claps.

By this action, they have become the President and Vice President respectively.

The first to take, according to official procedures, was Shettima who swore to put the nation’s interest far above his.

At the mention of Tinubu, the audience went into wild jubilation as various songs rent the air.

He took his oath at exactly 10:37am. He promised to stick to the constitution.

I’ll not allow my personal interest interfere with national interest”, he said.
