The Chicago State University (CSU) has released the academic records of President Bola Tinubu, following requests by Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2023 elections.
In the thirty-two pages released the academic record from South-West College Tinubu used in gaining admission into Chicago State University (CSU), clearly belongs to a woman.
The records released by the institution also show that Tinubu presented forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
This is tantamount to identity theft and a serious offence in Nigeria.
On Saturday, the US district court for the northern district of Illinois ordered the CSU to release Tinubu’s academic records.
Atiku had filed a response in the court insisting on the earlier judgment that ordered the release of Tinubu’s academic records.
Atiku asked the court to order the release of the records before October 3, 2023, in order to allow him to use the documents at the Supreme Court in Nigeria on October 5.
