Despite recent images of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appearing to sleep at public events, his Media and Publicity Adviser, Ajuri Ngelalae, assures the nation that Tinubu is diligently working to tackle socio-economic issues.
In a conversation with media figure, Chude Jideonwo, Ngelalae urged Nigerians to remain patient as Tinubu strives to improve the economy and other sectors.
Ngelalae painted a picture of Tinubu as a dedicated leader who works late into the night, often until 2 or 3 a.m., even on Sundays. He also revealed that the Tinubu begins his day early, around 7 to 8 a.m., including Sundays, to review files pertinent to the nation’s development.
Ngelalae expressed his confidence in President Tinubu’s commitment, stating, “I can personally vouch for him because he works late into the night, every night, including Sundays. He wakes up early every morning, including Sundays, to start his work. He is a workaholic, tirelessly striving to build a progressive and advanced nation, much like his vision for Lagos. I urge Nigerians to support the President; he has the nation’s best interests at heart.”
However, since taking office on May 29, 2023, Tinubu has faced significant criticism from Nigerians for the removal of fuel subsidies without sufficient measures in place to ease the resulting hardship on the populace.
