A former presidential aide to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Publisher of Point Blank News, Mr. Jackson Ude, has alleged that Retired Justice Mary Ukaego Odili is working with former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, to twist the outcome of the Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Mr. Ude made the revelation on his Twitter handle, @jacksonpbn, on Monday without stating the source of his information.

In the short essay entitled “Mary Odili working for Tinubu with the PEPT”, Ude claimed that Odili relocated to Abuja from Rivers State to keep an eye on the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal for Tinubu.

He also claimed that Odili was brought in by Wike for whom she works as a judicial consultant.

Ude said: “Retired but not tired Justice Mary Odili has relocated to Abuja from Rivers state where she moved back to join her husband after she retired from the Supreme Court.

“Her job? Keep an eye on the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal for Bola Tinubu. She was brought in by Nyesom Wike whom she works for as a judicial consultant.

“She meets regularly with Judges of the Appeal and Supreme Courts, compare notes. She is currently negotiating a pathway for Bola Tinubu.

“She is scheduled to meet one of the Supreme Court justices this week. Keep an eye on her!”

Reacting to the development, a Twitter user, @June12Post, warned Mary Odili to desist from damaging her reputation in the Tribunal quagmire:

“Mary Odili should desist from damaging her reputation or being linked to any event that leads to the demise of the contraption. The #pept issue is not a joke, she should go & enjoy her retirement in peace. She must be reminded that the people were behind her when the lawless #DSS invaded her home in Abuja. Enough is Enough.”

Another Twitter user, Dr. Real Victoradham, @realvictorad, opined

“The oldies who are fantastically corrupt are the PROBLEMS of your country. It’s time to rescue Nigeria from these criminals who should be neutralized. Enough is Enough, folks.”

It could be recalled that the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, had challenged the victory of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the Tribunal.

Nigerian are presently eagerly waiting for the verdict of the five-man panel of the Court of Appeal judges which started sitting in May, 2023.
