Popular microblogging platform, Twitter, has removed the verification tag attached to the account of former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

The special verification tag prior to its removal was designed for officials of government.

Yemi Osinbajo and former President Muhammadu Buhari earlier today handed over the mantle of leadership to President Bola Tinubu and his deputy Kashim Shettima.

However, checks by our correspondent revealed that at press time, the verification tag remained intact on the account of former President Buhari.
