Nigerian former military head of states, General Yakubu Gowon GCFR is alive.

According to his personal aide Adeyeye E. Ajayi mni, has confirmed that he’s alive.

The general was rumored to have died at aged 88 years old.

Gowon was head of state of Nigeria who presided over a controversial Nigerian-Biafran Civil War.

He delivered the famous “no victor, no vanquished” speech at the war’s end to promote healing and reconciliation.
