Veteran American rapper cum actor, Calvin Cordozar Broadus, popularly known as Snoop Dogg, has quit smoking.

The hip-hop legend announced his decision in a terse statement shared via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday.

According to Snoop Dogg, he decided to give up the addiction after much consideration and conversation with his family and urged the public to respect his privacy.

He wrote: “After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoking. Please respect my privacy at this time.”
