A group of courageous Nigerian youths have vowed to declare its own president based on the results obtained from the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) during the recent presidential election held on February 25, 2023.

The group made the resolution during a press conference captured in the video posted on Twitter by ace Nigerian popular musician, Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, below:

The group made the call following the move to inaugurate the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the president-elect despite not meeting up to the constitutional requirement to emerge as the president.

One such requirement is Section 134(2) which states clearly that a candidate must garner at least 25 per cent of votes cast in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, to emerge.

The group, it was understood, has their eyes on the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, who is widely believed to have won the election but whose mandate was reportedly stolen by Tinubu in cahoots with the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, and other stakeholders.

In the meantime, information has it that Tinubu is trying to persuade President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a public holiday on Friday 26 May, which is the date the Supreme Court is supposed to deliver the judgment that could disqualify him.

News Band, in a May 23 report, uncovered an alleged “criminal move” to declare Friday 26th and Monday 29th, 2023, as public holiday to ensure the swearing in Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to reports, the president-elect, Tinubu, has also tasked Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and one Gilbert Chagoury to raise a total of N100 billion with which to compromise the Supreme Court Justices.
