Chijioke Ihunwo, a prominent figure in the National Youth Council of Nigeria, has come forward with claims of election rigging during the 2023 presidential election in Rivers State.

According to Ihunwo, the victory of the Labour Party in the state was allegedly manipulated, with results purportedly falsified to tilt the outcome in favor of the APC. The controversy escalated when the National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC as the winner on February 25, 2023.

The announcement triggered widespread skepticism, leading to the characterization of this election as one of the most fraudulent in the nation’s political history.

In a video clip shared by @aai_austin on X platform during a public function, Ihunwo urged the audience to remain calm amid the intensifying crisis between the state governor, Siminialayi Fubara, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesome Wike.

In the video, Ihunwo declared, “The election, na we write the results. The election is for the Labour Party. We no dey fear anybody.”
