A political analyst, Professor Jideofor Adibe, has insisted that there is a lot of hypocrisy in the treason allegation against Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP); after he expressed surprise over how the All-Progressive Congress (APC) focused on a candidate that came third in the February 25, 2023, Presidential election.

Adibe had said, “Why is it that the APC seems focused on the person that apparently came third and not the person that is second. There is a lot of hypocrisy, and the impression is therefore created that there was an attempt to demarket a group.”

The Professor, who spoke on Arise Television, said it is alarming that the ruling party is focusing on the Presidential Candidate that came third in the February 25, 2023, Presidential contest. According to him, it shows that there is a lot of hypocrisy, since one party is being portrayed to be demarketing another.

Adibe, who did not link the purported audio conversation between Obi and Oyedepo to the APC, expressed fair that some elements could infringe people’s privacy.
