Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has acknowledged that while challenges persist in the territory, the government remains committed to addressing them.
Speaking at a recent media parley in Abuja, Wike said that I will not claim that every problem has been solved no government, even one that has rules for twenty years, can fix everything, he stated. “However, we are actively tackling issues that will significantly improve the lives of residents.”
He emphasized that while it’s unrealistic to expect complete transformation across all sectors, the administration is working to ensure that no sector is left unattended.
“We cannot completely overhaul every area, but that doesn’t mean we are neglecting any. Every sector is receiving attention,” he affirmed.
Wike also pointed out the financial limitations faced by the FCT, noting that the territory receives just one percent of the Federal Government’s total allocation. Despite this, he reassured the public that efforts are ongoing to make meaningful progress with the resources available.
