Outgoing Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike and the incoming Governor, Mr. Simi Fubara are currently at a logjam over Mr. Fubara’s “insubordinate” and recalcitrant attitude.

According to sources, Fubara refused to inherit Wike’s political enemies and is planning to invite the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other party leaders to his inauguration to the chagrin of Governor Wike.

Fubara insists he does not want to inherit Wike’s enemies as that has caused him his family and marriage.

In the wake of the campaign, he had lost his child in a circumstance that has brought rift in his marriage especially as the child’s death was reportedly linked to ritual killing.

Some insiders allege that Fubara and Wike belong to the same cult group.

Tired of the overbearing tendencies of Wike, loss of a child and threat to his marriage, Fubara appears ready to do battle with Wike.

The showdown is set for May 29 handover date.
