World Trade Organization Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has publicly denounced a fake article that falsely attributes statements to her regarding Abia State and its Governor, Alex Otti.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she clarified that the article is fraudulent and warned political operatives against using her name for propaganda purposes.

Okonjo-Iweala stated that she has taken screenshots of the misleading article and plans to take action against its creators.
