A recent statement made by Abayomi Arabambi, the self-proclaimed National Publicity Secretary of a faction within the Labour Party, alleging that Peter Obi favored the Igbo ethnic group over others, has been refuted by a social media X community notes.

During an interview on Arise TV, Arabambi alleged that the spokespersons of Peter Obi were predominantly Igbo and implied a bias against Niger Deltans, Yorubas, and Hausas. However, the online community, known for its fact-checking endeavors, has refuted Arabambi’s assertions, labeling them as false.

According to their findings, the ObiDatti campaign organization boasts a diverse range of spokespersons representing various geopolitical regions of Nigeria. The spokespersons include Yunusa Tanko (Hausa), Nana Kazaure (North), Ndi Kato (Central), Dele Farotimi (Yoruba), Kenneth Okonkwo (Igbo), and Ime Ufot (Niger Delta).

In light of this revelation, the community emphasized the importance of providing accurate information and context to prevent the spread of misinformation. By clarifying the composition of Peter Obi’s spokespersons, they aim to ensure a more informed discourse within the political sphere.
